From time to time, I write short stories that have no good place to go. Usually, they’re about characters and worlds that I’ve already established. So, I’m going to post them here. They’re free to read and share. All I ask is that if you do choose to share them, please attribute them to me and link back here to my site. Thanks!
All of the stories posted to my site are suitable for all audiences. There’s the occasional mushy kiss, but no objectionable language or explicit content.

Nick's been in Firebend for a while now and he can't believe how much his life has changed since he left the city dome and his former existence behind. He has such great friends now, a home where his talents are appreciated, and a partner he adores. So when he reads about a holiday that people used to celebrate before the Blast, he starts planning a way to show his gratitude to all the people who've helped him in his new life. He especially wants to show Zander how much he cares for him. But Zander's a born cynic and not all that comfortable expressing his feelings. And he absolutely hates surprises.

During what most people consider the most magical time of the year, all Wyvern wants to do is hibernate and forget winter entirely. The Christmas season holds nothing but painful memories for him, and not even his best friend Nick's boundless optimism can convince him that it's worth celebrating. Nick is determined to show him the beauty of the holiday, though, and his creative ingenuity might just be the thing to help Wyvern change his mind. Unfortunately for Wyvern, it's his mind that won't let him forget why he despises the season and why some trauma needs to be left alone.

Newt is celebrating his first new year in Firebend with Nick and his friends. As a robot, he has a unique perspective on everything, and he’s fascinated by the emotions in the humans around him. Not all of the behavior he observes makes sense to him, though, and even the people that he knows the best prove endlessly surprising.
