Hi! I’m Leah. I’m from the the USA and when I’m not working or spending time with my highly-energetic family, I can usually be found exploring the worlds that I’ve created in my mind. Everything started small, but, like many seeds of creation, my original one has grown exponentially over the years. What began as a simple character back story became a short story, then a novel, then the epic, six-book saga that became my Legend of the Grimoire series. And now it’s pollinated another whole series. There are always new stories in my head, just waiting for me to type them out.
I’ve been writing in some form or another for my entire life. It’s a wonderful way to get the crazy ideas out of my head, and I’m always amazed at how those ideas evolve. My characters truly do drive my writing, though. So many times, I’ve started a scene intending to go in one direction, but my stubborn characters can be quite uncooperative, and they definitely have ideas of their own. Though they’ve forced me to have to go back over my previous material time and time again to make changes to suit their whims, it’s made for a fun ride and some interesting plot developments.
The Legend of the Grimoire series, which is now complete, was a long labor of love, and I am very grateful to the people in my life who supported and encouraged me to actually publish it. Without them, I never would have gotten here. I hope my readers enjoy that adventure, the others that I've begun, and the ones yet to come. If there's anything completely off-the-wall, I place the blame squarely on my melodramatic, demanding characters.
